Sylvin Responds to Growing Demand for Compliant Non Phthalate PVC
In response to growing demand for non phthalate products, Sylvin Technologies has developed a diverse line of Non Phthalate PVC compounds. This product opportunity surfaced in response to industry’s interest in using more environmentally friendly products.
While phthalate alternative plasticizers have been available for many years, they have been significantly more expensive than compounds based on economical phthalate plasticizers such as DEHP/DOP or DINP. Sylvin’s new non phthalate compounds are now available at similar prices as those offered with traditional phthalate based compounds, like DOP/DEHP and DINP.
Formulated to Meet Critical Regulatory Standards
These non phthalate compounds are formulated to meet critical regulatory criteria including Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act (CPSIA), which regulates plasticizer use in toys. All of the non phthalate PVC compounds are also RoHS, REACH, and California Prop 65 compliant and they are acceptable for use in FDA applications.
Sylvin has commercialized a variety of compounds targeting applications such as toys, medical tubing, refrigeration gaskets and food processing equipment.
